Street Preaching,
otherwise known as Open-Air Witnessing, or One-to-Many Witnessing
Here you will hear what were encounters with groups of people as they heard the Gospel. These are useful to listen to in order to understand how one goes about sharing your faith, what can happen when we do to a group, to encourage the fearful Christian they can do this (Remember "fear" is one of the qualifications Paul gave for Evangelism, along with "much trembling", and "weakness"). These are also here because they show that people do actually listen and ask questions when you profess the Gospel of Jesus Biblically. We must give the whole council of God (that of His Law, Judgment, Wrath, Punishment, Mercy, Forgiveness and Grace) to a group, because there may be someone listening that is ready to repent and needs to know of God's provision for their forgiveness.

Wow was that a cold day!
We took turns preaching and found the area was exceptionally receptive. No issues with anyone, great responses, typical hecklers (one fellow blew smoke in Courtney's face while he was preaching)
This is how it is done, how the word is preached and, as you can hear, is not in any sense of the word a "rote" practice! Each one of us had different approaches.
The name of Jesus was professed and hundreds, once again, heard the word...
We had a group of
GNN Seed Sowers and local leaders out preaching the
gospel on the streets in Newark, NJ Saturday, September 16th, 2006. The
bus stops on the corners of Market and Broad are perfect as we have a
captive audience and normally have quite the eclectic group. The buses
run on a 10 minutes to 20 minute schedule, so you generally have to
keep it quick and to the point. ADiel came out from Passaic at the end
too! But he got busy fast - Way to be bold brother! Robert Parker,
Nick Astacio, and Paul Perez were there. Paul preached twice! Again, I
am sorry Paul - I didn't realize the buses were coming the first time!
:) Paul had to wait and start all over when he began the first time as
all his listeners turned into riders before he was done! Nick
preached and Fred preached did too. I didn't hear if Stacey did,
because they were on the corner and I was inside the shelter of a bus
stop preaching and witnessing.
At one point, which I didn't record unfortunately, a wagon rolled by
with many idols on it pulled by at least 70 people all singing and
bowing and worshipping the idols and those riding with them. So I took
the opportunity to preach REAL LOUDLY on IDOLATRY. some of them said to
our guys while I preached "Oh we love Jesus too!" to which our GNN
group profusely exclaimed Jesus is not "a way to heaven" but the ONLY
WAY! Hallelujah! That got many in the crowd very upset when they
realized we were proclaiming Jesus as the Only Way and that these
idolaters were sinning right in front of everyone. I quickly explained
we are all idolaters and in violation of the second commandment as we
all make a god we can be comfortable in our sin with. One gentleman
really reacted to that and started swearing and ridiculing me waving
his liquor bottle at me telling me to just have a drink and shut up.
Once I told him to repent of that he got quiet again and listened.
We were all there 3 hours (longer as I had to go at 4pm).
It was an eventful day with that false god parade and yelling
hecklers. I had good opportunities to encourage many believers, was
thanked by many who heard and we all saw hundreds be taken to the foot
of the cross.
Thankfully we had many Hispanic tracts and so were able to at least get
those into the hands of the Latinos who could not understand English
(and there were many).
Open Air Newark, NJ, Saturday, September 16th, 2006
Tishon, Paul, Danny and Tola (sorry if I misspelled your names guys) along with a security guard, a lady I handed a tract to as she zipped by and a word with Melvin the "Begging Christian" again.
I have noted there are some people who just listen, acknowledge their sins non-chalantly and don't seem to care they will be going to Hell if they die in their sins. The only thing you can do is to reiterate their sins by the Law, explain clearly they are an enemy of God in their sins and they will be justly deserving Hell. That's it.
Paul was the one who responded often and seemed sincerely concerned. Melvin, was just interested in the money he could beg.

Technically this was a one-to-one, but once I got to three
people I realized I was now "open-airing". This series of encounters starts with
a Muslim, then another guy chiming in when I spoke about repentance, then
switches to a cop listening to our encounter (see if you can tell when I went
into overdrive so he could hear the whole gospel), then another guy buying
lottery tickets, another fella at the counter waiting, a guy outside and several
people listening in and commenting. In the end I had a long talk with a
professing Christian who was begging for money while a guy listened with
his window down on his car while we were all sweating in 90+ heat.
The Muslim i started with was hard hearted. He was so self-righteous! He
talked severa times about other people being worse, right after I said we all
do that to justify ourselves! The guy was just being silly, but in the end
he listened.
Melvin, the begging "Christian" finally heard me when I told him God knows him
and not to play games with God.

Preaching the Gospel at Dunkin Donuts in Newton, NJ. Got some
harassment, but they were barely heard on the audios. Batteries ran out before
we stopped talking, but I got the meat of what was discussed and how these three
responded.
When I started out there were more than 10 listening. By the time the "roaches"
scattered, because of the Light of God's word exposing their sin, there were
these three left: Kyle, Leo and Sherrell.
Kyle was former military and responsive. I could tell he was pretty
tired.
Kyle, remember I said, "You must repent and believe." Just like the bungee
jumper, you must act on what you believe.
Leo and Sherrell were a "couple". Leo was quite open to the Gospel and
would be the one I expect will turn from his sin.
Leo, TODAY is the day of salvation. Make Psalm 51 your prayer. Leo, just like
the writer of Psalm 51, David, pour your heart out to God. You know the
truth, now surrender. There is no promise for your next breath. You can trust
God, ALWAYS. Read Proverbs 3:5-6, Leo.
Sherrell was the most vocal. At first I thought she was being rude. In
the end she was very contemplative and answered very honestly.
Sherrell, I know you have heard some bogus stuff. Don't let what others have
done or said be what keeps you from what you know you must do.
All three of you heard and understood clearly what God requires
of you. Thank you so much for being so honest and so polite!
Remember, I didn't ask anything of you but that you obey God. Let's recap: You
are God's enemies because you have violated His Law. You deserve what is
your due fine for the crimes you all admitted. I told you the truth, "God does
not want anyone to go to Hell. That's why He sent His own son to die for your
sins... your lies and stealing and blasphemy and lusting." What did I say you
must do to be rescued? "Repent and believe." TURN and utterly reject what you
have done as the self centered vile sins that they are against God Himself, and
turn to God to rescue you with what Jesus did on the Cross 2000 years ago. God
is able to keep you, and what He has promised He will do. God will never leave
you nor forsake you. To "believe" is to trust Jesus as you would a parachute as
you are jumping from a plane, as you trust your instructor, and what He says,
the first time you bungee jump. You don't just believe in Jesus, you put Him on
and you utterly surrender and commit totally to what He says to do, because He
cares for you. see, you can trust Jesus and know He can keep you, because He not
only died for your sins but He rose from the Dead and defeated Death itself!
Jesus LIVES! And because Jesus lives all who put their trust in Him can live
also, forever.
I asked you , "What would you do for the guy who pays the cure of a
terminal disease you have?" Remember Leo's answer? "Anything he said." God so loved the
world that He gave His own Son that whoever puts their trust in Him will not
perish, but has everlasting life.
But, UNLESS you repent, you WILL perish. Those are the words of Jesus,
"Unless you repent you will likewise perish."
So, pour your heart out to god asking Him for forgiveness as you turn from your
sin, trusting in the payment Jesus made on the Cross for you. and God will send
His Spirit into you and make you a new person. You will have god's desires and
you will want to please Him. You will no longer be bound by sinning but free to
obey God, able to do what you have always wanted, which is to love
unconditionally.
But it all depends upon you. YOU must choose to believe God or
not.

Preaching the Gospel to Victor and Kirill at the Hess
convenience store on Route 23 North-bound, Butler, NJ.
Now I know this is a one-to-one but, this became an "Open Air" as there were
many people "listening in", and, as you can hear, some were commenting. The
store was very busy and we, Kirill and I, were standing right by the register,
so, as a result, everyone in the store had to come close enough to hear, in
order to pay for their purchases. I was at the register because I started
the conversation with Victor, behind the counter, and he and I were still
conversing during the one-to-one with Victor. It was pretty fun to see some of
the responses.
Victor and I then had some good dialogue. No one fell on their knees thanking
God for his mercy, but conviction was clear in both their eyes.
Victor, the only hope you have, as we discussed, is to
throw yourself wholeheartedly into trusting Jesus. You will suffer to
"Repent" and "Believe", as we discussed, and you will have to make some hard
choices, but believing in Jesus is not just something you say, it something you
are. You cannot continue your life of sin, you must reject it utterly. Read
and see what the heart of one who repents prays. You cannot "hum a few bars and
fake it", as a wise Christian friend of mine, Lee Headley, says, Victor. Lee
also says, "You is or you isn't, that's it."
Kirill, no amount of hoping on your part, or intellectual pursuits, will answer the fundamental questions you presented. You must believe God. You must believe He is a "rewarder" of those who seek Him diligently. And He will not bandy words with you, as I did. God has given you clear evidence in His creation that He is. You can know, as millions have known before you, who He is, what He wants and what He requires of you. But do not hold lightly the words which I have spoken to you, for they were the words of Life Himself to you. God is no mocker to be mocked. Yahweh will not hold Him guiltless who uses His name in vain. You must be honest in your pursuit of Him. DO what I told you and read the Gospel of John, ready to Hear from God. If you read, without desiring to prove something but ready to hear what God is saying to you, then He is faithful to answer. But do not continue to live scornful of God. I tell you the truth, there is a Judgment Day coming in which you shall surely know that what I spoke to you, on July 11th, 2006 at the Hess Station Convenience store near the hour of 1am, was God's Gospel of Salvation for you. I did not tell you of God's Grace, for there is NO GRACE for the unrepentant. But I did tell you where you can know His Grace for you when you humble yourself to look and hear.

Here is that Good Person Test Guys. It's what I used with you.
Forgive me, but my 5 year old was with me and he is
pretty loud in places. Be patient and listen for the conversation. It
was pretty sweet to see how they all were so respectful of what they
said. It was apparent that having Ryan with me did something to these
guys and girls. They seemed more respectful and gentle and serious
about the subject. I was truly blessed and I have found a wonderful
fishing hole. I'll do that every Friday I can. Look for me guys are email here if you need to.
Mike is the guy doing alot of questioning. I really appreciate
someone asking hard questions - it means they are thinking. He was very
convicted at the end. He obviously had been so hurt by so many
charlatans. Mike wants to believe the Bible is true. Read it for
yourself Mike.
Remember Bud: "If you seek me, you will find me, when you seek with
your whole heart." You want to KNOW Mike? Ask God to open your mind and
then open the Bible and read the Gospel of John. Don't look for what
you are trying to prove, but read the Bible to hear from God. And then get ready: because you will be
floored, for God IS. His name is "IAM that IAM". And he will answer you when you earnestly look for Him.
Only Jesus is His Salvation for you. Only one way, Mike.
Mike's girlfriend, Janice, was asking alot of questions but indicating she didn't like what she heard, yet
didn't want to leave, even though she was so cold I offered her my coat twice! (Hey Mike's girlfriend,
Janice: see how angry you are over my getting your name wrong?
Now you understand how God feels about you not believing Him, or remembering what He says,
Shannon.)
Rachel was the woman stating she was a Christian who now had
"dead faith". She also she was convicted. After the recording ended
Rachel looked like she had been crying as I came by her. I then got the
chance to encourage her again to be serious. "What do you do to be
right with God, to get your faith "back"? Be serious Rachel." Rachel, JESUS LOVES YOU. Come home. Stop playing with sin. Surrender
absolutely. THIS time don't do it half hearted. And be so grateful you
are still alive, because, Rachel you never were born again. If you die in your sins today you will be in
Hell. That's God's promise to you. Repent today.
Remember, Psalm 51! No more games Rachel. TODAY, Rachel. T O D A Y.
Heather was flippant and walked away. Heather, it doesn't matter what you think or who you think you know,
it's whether Jesus knows YOU.
Heather's boyfriend heard the truth, but had something better to do. Guess he doesn't care of he's going to
Hell. Here is the
God's Test, if you want to see it again when no one is looking.
Rachel's boyfriend didn't like what he heard and left. Rachel didn't seem to care.
To Rachel's boyfriend let me say this:
What someone else did in the name of "right" makes no difference.
You will have to answer personally to God for every .... what? EVERY thought, word and deed - remember? That's when you left.
You can't run from your conscience. And you can't run from God.
Every one of these people who stayed to talk so long
(there were 3) all did alot of nodding and all were very grateful. I
was so humbled by their respect.
I suspect only one repented tonight, for sure, but Father,
You know.
Thank you LORD Jesus, for your gracious love for these people, for the opportunity to speak and the encouragement to do so.
They all appreciated so much hearing of your love for them and
why they need you. All 6 heard the Gospel. Father, germinate that seed in them. Some of them had such a love for the
truth. RESCUE them Lord Jesus. Send your ministering Angels,
that the seed will not be stolen from them, and open their minds with
your Spirit, and let them see what was said is TRUE.
Bring GLORY to your name Father in their deliverance.
Thank you for loving us so.
AMEN.
