I was saved at a Billy Graham crusade in India.
I became more evangelistic after coming to the U.S., and listened to the teachings of  Pastor Chuck Smith and Pastor Jon Courson. They were instrumental in me falling in love with the word with abandon.
Later at a Christian store, I picked up the Evidence Bible and my passion for evangelism grew.
Till then I was involved in only friendship evangelism.
I discovered later that, there are around 50,000 Indian(mostly Hindus) living in Orange County, CA,  where I live.
We also have a little India in Artesia, in  LA county. I found out  that most of these people dont have Christian friends and am sure will not walk into a church by themselves. I guess this is were handing out tracts and street witnessing comes in.
I love Ray's approach. Most Indians think that they are better than most cultures in the West. When I try witnessing to some of them, they say, we don't do drugs we don't drink, divorce is not that common in India.  They think that if they dont have these bad habits, they are pretty decent and cannot fathom eternity in hell.
Using the Ten Commandments has brought out an amazing reaction in a few people I have spoken to. The tips on street witnessing I found on this forum have helped me a lot.
